How it works

Made for six-year-olds, from the first tap

Children work on their own. Big buttons, pictures and a voice that reads every question mean they do not need to be strong readers yet.

1

Pick the next session

The app always shows the next session to do. Each one is 10 questions in 20 minutes, starting easy and getting harder.

2

Answer by tapping

Pictures instead of long sentences. Tap an answer, a big number pad, or letter and word tiles to spell and build sentences.

3

Check right away

Tap Check to see if it is right. A wrong answer shows the correct one and how to work it out, so mistakes turn into learning.

4

Collect stars

Up to 3 stars per session, with cheerful sounds and gentle music. Children want to come back and fill every row with stars.

Inside every app

50 sessions that build step by step

Every topic is visited three times, each time a little harder. Then the topics are mixed, the weak spots get extra practice, and four mock tests check everything together. New questions are made every time, so a retry is never the same paper.

Sessions 1–12Warm-upOne topic each, easy start
Sessions 13–24PracticeSame topics, a little harder
Sessions 25–36ChallengeWord stories and trickier questions
Sessions 37–46Mixed and targetedMore questions on weak topics

How it helps in school

Steady practice, the right topics, and you always know where they stand

Primary 1 is about strong foundations. Short, regular practice on exactly what is taught in class helps children keep up, feel sure of themselves and enjoy learning.

Follows the MOE syllabusEvery topic matches what is taught in Primary 1, so practice at home supports the work in class.
Finds the weak spotsTopic bars show what is strong and what needs work. Targeted sessions give more questions on the weakest topics.
Learns from every mistakeEach question explains how to get the answer, in words a six-year-old can follow.
Tips for parentsAfter each session you get simple ideas to try at home for the skills that lost marks.
Score trend over timeA chart shows the score from every session, so progress is easy to see and celebrate.
A daily habitAt 20 minutes, a session fits after school or before dinner. Stars and music keep children wanting more.
For K2 children starting Primary 1

Get ready for Primary 1 before the first day

The Warm-up round starts with what preschoolers already know: counting objects, letter sounds, syllables and simple words. Because every question can be read aloud, children who are still learning to read can practise on their own.

  • Try two or three sessions a week in the holidays before Primary 1
  • Start with Sessions 1 to 12 in each app, one topic at a time
  • Sit with your child for the first few sessions, then let them try alone

Questions parents ask

Good to know

Does it follow what my child learns in school?

Yes. The topics come from the MOE Primary 1 syllabus for Mathematics, English Language and Malay Language.

What device do we need?

Any phone, tablet or computer with a web browser. A tablet works best for small hands. There is nothing to install.

My child cannot read well yet. Can they still use it?

Yes. Tap Read to me and the question is spoken aloud. Most questions use pictures, and answers are tapped, not typed.

Is my child’s progress saved?

Yes. Scores, stars and topic progress are saved after every session, and the next session is always ready.

Does the Malay app read questions aloud?

Yes, on devices with a Malay voice, which most iPhones and iPads have. On other devices the app skips listening questions and gives other questions instead.

How do I get full access?

Tap Unlock full access in any app and fill in the short sign-up. We reply on WhatsApp with one code for all three apps.
